This month, Baluu introduces a powerful new content editor, the launch of Notifications V2 for clearer customer communication, and more flexible cancellation & reschedule policies. We’ve also upgraded reminders and started beta testing Bundles V2 (packs). Looking ahead, we’re preparing review integrations, checkout improvements, and smarter listing tools — all to give you more control and customization. 🚀
🚀 Baluu August 2025 Changelog
Hi everyone, and welcome to the August 2025 changelog for the **Baluu **platform.
As we’ve shared in our roadmap, our number one goal is to make Baluu more customisable and powerful for you. This month, we’re excited to share some major updates, along with a sneak peek at what’s coming next.
✨ New Features & Improvements
🔧 Upgraded Content Editor
We’ve released a brand-new editor that supports:
- Variables (
{{ }}) - Custom components
- Images (coming soon)
This editor brings a modern, intuitive experience (with / commands) and will gradually replace all existing text editors across Baluu.
✅ Currently available in the Reminders section so we can monitor usage and gather feedback.
Next steps:
- Roll out the editor to all content areas (emails, descriptions, etc.)
- Enable image uploads directly in the editor
📬 Notifications V2
Communication with your customers is critical — and historically, one of the trickiest areas due to poor traceability. Our new Notifications system gives you full visibility into what’s happening.
What’s new:
- Create or schedule notifications (e.g., reminders, reviews, post-event notes)
- View all sent and upcoming notifications
- See failed notifications for better awareness
- Support for multiple channels (In-App, SMS, Push, Email)
- Notifications now include system messages sent to your partners
🔄 We’ve also renamed this area from “Emails” → “Notifications.”
Next steps:
- Gradually migrate all automated emails into the new system (safely, to avoid disruptions)
- Gradually placing every triggered into the worflow editor (alpha)
📅 Cancellation & Reschedule Policies
We’ve split these into two independent settings to give you more flexibility.
What’s new:
- Separate policies for cancellation and rescheduling
- Tiered refund options (e.g., refund amount based on days before the event)
Next steps:
- Allow refunds via discount codes instead of cash
- Enable **per-listing **policy overrides
⏰ Customisable Reminders
Partners can now set when reminders are sent and adjust their content using the new editor.
Next steps:
- Generate reminders at the time of booking creation (instead of daily checks)
- Ensure reminders work seamlessly with Bundles V2
🗓 Timetable & Session Details (Restricted Users)
We’ve reworked what restricted users can see in the Timetable and Session details pages.
Next steps:
- Since every business is different, we want to allow partners to define what information and actions restricted users can see on the dashboard.
- Since this customization adds complexity to platform maintenance, we’ll introduce a small optional monthly maintenance fee to help cover the cost of this tailored work—available only on demand.
🎁 Packs (Bundles V2) — Beta
Bundles V2 allow customers to purchase a set of sessions and redeem them over time.
- Already in beta testing with few selected partners
- We’re gathering feedback and refining before public release
If there’s one feature we’re eager to get right, it’s this one — we’re close, but working through the last big challenges before launch.
🌐 Minor Updates
- Our Baluu landing page is now built on the same technology as our apps, ensuring consistency across the platform.
🔮 What’s Next on the Roadmap
Here’s what we’re working on for the coming months:
- ⭐ Review System → Give your customers the option to leave reviews on external platforms (Google Reviews, G2, etc.) instead of our own platform.
- 🎁 Bundles V2 (Packs) → Broader rollout to all partners
- 📋 Listing Management → Improved UX for multi-day and term-based listings
- 🛒 Checkout V2 → Better customer information forms + improved discount code handling (optional rollout)
- 📝 Waiting List V2 → Complete rebuild with improved flows and integration with new systems
