A Smarter Way to Price: Introducing Tickets V2 (Beta)

Pricing can get complicated quickly. Between early-bird discounts, deposits, and add-ons, setting up your ticketing should be a breeze, not a math puzzle. That is why we are introducing a completely rebuilt, bottom-up ticketing engine: Tickets V2 (Beta).

You might notice a new "Tickets V2" tab on your listing details page. Our goal with V2 is to give you a much simpler mental model: start with a base price, then layer on rules.

A Cleaner Foundation

We have completely separated your session capacity from your pricing.

• 1 Ticket = 1 Spot: We removed the confusing "guests per ticket" math from V1. In V2, a ticket either takes exactly 1 spot, or 0 spots (perfect for free baby tickets, carer passes, or observer seats).
• Standard Payments: Collect full payment at checkout for your everyday tickets.
• Deposits: Collect a partial payment upfront (percentage or fixed) and the rest later. You can set the balance due date and even trigger automatic reminder emails.
• Pay-What-You-Want: Let your customers choose their price. Set a minimum, a suggested price, and optional preset amounts.
• Free: No payment, no price field. Keep it simple.

Composable Pricing Rules

This is where V2 really shines. Instead of baking discounts directly into a rigid ticket price, you can now attach pricing rules that dynamically adjust the cost based on conditions you set.

You can stack these conditions (using AND logic) across 20 different parameters:

• Timing Conditions: Reward customers who book at least X days in advance (Early Bird), snag last-minute spots, or book on specific days of the week.
• Quantity Conditions: Trigger rules based on the minimum tickets in an order, multi-session bundles, or consecutive weekly bookings.
• Customer Conditions: Offer special rates for returning customers, first-timers, or users with specific Membership tags.
• Capacity & Cart Conditions: Automatically discount tickets when a session is less than 20% sold, or trigger a discount when a cart hits a minimum spend.

Don't want to build from scratch? We have included Quick Presets for the most common patterns like Volume Discounts, Member Pricing, and Peak/Off-Peak rates.

Specialized Rules & Constraints

Beyond basic conditional discounts, V2 supports purpose-built rules and smart constraints to handle your most complex scenarios.

• Advanced Rule Types: Set up Tiered Pricing, Group Size discounts (e.g., cheaper per-person rates for groups of 5+), BOGO (Buy One Get One), or Capacity-Based pricing that shifts as spots sell out.
• Ticket Constraints: Control exactly how tickets relate to each other. Require an adult ticket to be purchased with a child ticket, limit tickets to exact multiples (pairs only), or hide a waitlist ticket until the main release sells out.
• Advanced Add-On Groups: Group your extras. Force a single choice (e.g., "Select Wetsuit Size"), allow optional multi-choices (e.g., "Pick up to 3 toppings"), or offer unlimited extras.

Total Control: Visibility, Policies & Testing

• Built-In Price Calculator: Not sure how your stacked rules will play out? Open the price calculator right from the tickets page. Adjust quantities and toggle conditions to see exactly how your rules affect the final checkout price in real time. No guesswork!
• Targeted Visibility: Make tickets Public, Hidden (accessible only via direct link), Members-only, or available only during specific time-gated sale windows.
• Per-Ticket Booking Policies: Each V2 ticket can have its own custom booking policy attached. Your premium non-refundable ticket and your flexible drop-in ticket can live on the exact same listing, each with their correct terms.

⚠️ Important Beta Notice

Any V2 tickets you create right now will not appear at customer checkout. Once we officially launch, we will likely reset and delete all beta tickets. Please use this time to explore the new system, test your pricing scenarios with the calculator, and get familiar with what is possible. Do not spend time fine-tuning live pricing just yet!
